The Tower Archer is a Switch and iOS Exclusive boss found at the base of The Tower, after activating it.

This boss is a variant of the Archer, with different attacks and patterns. It's important to note the several attacks consist of holograms. The holograms cannot be damaged. Whenever holograms are created, the real Tower Archer can still be identified by the pulsing eye, and can be damaged.

Since the Tower area is non-canon, the Tower Archer is as well.

Attacks

Arrow Shot

• Deals 1 DMG per arrow.
• The boss fires any number of arrow at the player wherever they are standing at that moment.
• Can be deflected with the Bullet Deflect sword ability.

Triple Shot

• Deals 1 DMG per arrow.
• The Archer fires three very fast arrows from its bow wherever the player is standing at that moment.
• It repeats this 3 times in quick succession if the player is far away.
• Can be deflected with the Bullet Deflect sword ability.

Volley Ring

• Shoots multiple mines into the air, exploding in a circle around the Tower Archer.
• 2 DMG per hit
• They are not proximity mines. They automatically explode.

Horizontal Replicate

• The Tower Archer splits into multiple holograms, each one shooting multiple arrows directly horizontal across the area.
• Deals 1 DMG per arrow.

Corner Replicate

• The Tower Archer creates 3 holograms, then each runs to a corner of the area.
• Shoots Triple Shot arrows until the real Tower Archer is hit.

Strategy

This boss fight can be very hard, considering the small area and the number of projectiles. The most recommended tactic is to keep track of the real Tower Archer, as attacking him while holograms are active will deactivate the holograms. Unlike the Barren Hills version of The Archer, the Tower version does not lay mines. This allows for safer dodging of arrows.
