Rivan the Tamer was a 
Boss in the Beta build of Hyper Light Drifter.
It appears as though the tamer uses a poleaxe made out of the same Hardened Crystal material seen throughout the completed release of the game, as well as some used in his armor. Rivan has with him a leashed, flaming beast whose name and origin is unknown.

User of searing Red Shift light, causing great destruction when attacking. His companion beast adds to his already fierce tactics.
