"Chimera" is the 26th track on the Hyper Light Drifter Original Soundtrack.
Trivia[]
The word "Chimera" can reference two things:
-a fire-breathing monster with multiple characteristics of a lion, a goat, and a snake
-a thing that is highly desired yet impossible to obtain.
The nature of the Immortal Cell is highly debatable. However, according to the in-game Monoliths and the library in the North, it was created out of an attempt to achieve some great power. This attempt failed catastrophically, possibly causing The Drifter's and The Guardian's illness and thrusting the world into disarray. Thus, it was a thing that was highly desired but became impossible to obtain. During Judgement's boss fight, it also utilizes a large laser that strongly resembles fire, possibly tying into this nature.
